Photo by Simone Mascellari 🇮🇹 on Unsplash Saint Kitts and Nevis, formally the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, is a state in the eastern Caribbean Sea made up of two Lesser Antilles islands known as Saint Christopher and Nevis. Nevis is 2 miles southeast of Saint Kitts, across The Narrows, and is bordered by coral reefs. The island is nearly entirely made up of a peak, Nevis Peak, which is bordered on the north by the lesser Round Hill and on the south by Saddle Hill. It has a total size of 36 square miles. Nevis’ soil is a mix of clay and volcanic rocks. The climate is comparable to that of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Nevis and Saint Kitts are both located in the tropical hurricane belt. For international visitors, St Kitts and Nevis are regarded as safe islands. Sunstroke and dehydration are two of the most serious health risks, so bring lots of sunscreen and drink. Nevis Beach Break & Snorkel Photo by Channey Tang-Ho on Unsplash Enjoy an adventurous boat journey down St Kitts’ South East Peninsula to Nevis, a beach break on lovely Pinney’s beach, where you will be met by your host and brought to your complimentary beach chair. Reboard your boat for a short sail back to the point of St Kitts to a hidden area for snorkeling after a brief break stop. Your staff will assist you in putting on your snorkeling gear. Explore the coral-encrusted rocks, which are home to sponges, fan corals, a variety of tropical fish, and the occasional turtle, in the crystal blue water. Reboard the boat for a 15-minute journey back to Pinney’s beach after snorkeling. Relax, sunbathe, swim, or wander the beach for the next two hours while purchasing refreshments at one of the neighboring cafes. Brimstone Hill Photo by Simone Mascellari 🇮🇹 on Unsplash Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a historically, culturally, and architecturally significant UNESCO World Heritage Site. This centuries-old castle is a witness to the British military engineers’ creativity, as well as the skill and power of the African slaves who erected it in a treacherous way, risking their lives. The majority of the walls are built of stone, which has been meticulously carved from Brimstone Hill’s strong volcanic rock. The limestone that covers much of the middle and lower slopes was used to make the mortar. Beginning in the 1690s, the fortress grew into a full-fledged military settlement in the 1790s. This notable citadel is one of the oldest and best surviving instances of the polygonal system, a novel kind of fortification. Its unique vantage point provides panoramic views of wooded mountains, agricultural fields, the ancient settlement of Sandy Point, and the Caribbean Sea’s adjacent Dutch, English, and French islands. caribbeanShipWreck Beach BarSt. Kitts and NevisTourist Attractions 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Jirie Caribbean previous post Ackee and Saltfish Recipe, Jamaica next post Things to do in Saint Kitts and Nevis Guyana’s Transformation: Caribbean’s Fastest-Growing Economy Revolutionizes March 31, 2024 Trinidad and Tobago Mega Projects in 2024 March 31, 2024 Discovering Paradise: The Top 5 Beaches in St....
