Dickenson Bay

Dickenson Bay is located in the northern part of Antigua, and it’s one of the most charming and popular beaches in Antigua. Several restaurants and resorts are dotted along the mile-long stretch of powdery white sand, and you’ll find everything you need here for an invigorating and relaxing day at the sea. You can indulge in a full range of water sports activities, and the bay is great for swimming and snorkeling. Protected by an offshore reef, it offers visitors the opportunity to rent everything you need for water sports, including kayaking, jet-skiing, and much more.

Nelson’s Dockyard National Park

Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is a hot spot for visitors, filled with multiple attractions. It’s self-proclaimed the only remains of the Continuously operating Georgian dockyard in the world. During your visit, you’ll be able to know about the dockyard’s rich history at The Dockyard Museum. But you can also get the feel and vibe by roaming around all the carefully restored stone warehouses, which looks more amazing with the glitzy superyachts in the marina. If you want to soak up the ambiance a little further, the place is also home to some of the breathtaking nature trails, which make their way to the historic forts with beautiful vistas.

Stingray City

A shallow pool just a five-minute speedboat ride off the island’s east coast, known as Stingray City, is one of the best places for face-to-face stingrays. If you have a lifelong fear of stingrays, this incredible stingray site should vanish those fears forever. You can easily find hundreds of friendly southern stingrays gliding through the turquoise waters on a sandy bottom amid a tropical reef. Visitors are allowed to swim and snorkel with them if they dare to do so. As you come near to them, you can the surrounding coral reefs.

St. John’s

St. John’s is the capital city and is home to attractive candy-hued colonial cottages, and fruits markets pilled high exotic fruits and flowers. Emerging high in the sky are the white neo-Baroque towers of St. John’s Cathedral, one of the main tourist attractions in the area. To get insight into the past of Antigua, make your way to the Petite Museum of Antigua, and to get more information about Antigua’s history, take a walk around Betty’s Hope, the ruins of the island’s largest sugar plantations. The Museum here will give real knowledge about the slaves who built it.

Half Moon Bay

You are nowhere close to the end of amazing things to do in Antigua. For an excellent snorkeling adventure, head to Half Moon Bay situated in the southeastern end of Antigua. One of the Caribbean’s best beaches, Half Moon Bay, is protected by Reef, and this is an idyllic crescent of the fine azure sea. On calm days when the wind is at its usual speed, surfing is quite an experience! This beach is lined with restaurants, and for a relaxing sunbath, you can rent chairs and umbrellas, too.
