Marigot Bay Port

Marigot Bay Port is the true representation of the French and Caribbean cultures, creating a permanent sense of history. Be sure to check out The Marina Royale, home to a variety of restaurants facing the waterfront and moored yachts. Here you can go inside a shopping mall, which shows off the excellent architecture, and welcomes you to shop in elegant stores. If you take a stroll through the town, you will come across some quintessential houses, such as Rue de la République. Traditional 19th-century houses have retained their actual look from the French Colonial Period.

Maho Beach

St. Maarten is full of excellent beaches on both sides of the island; the French and the Dutch sides. Maho Beach is yet another gorgeous stretch of coastline found on the Dutch side. Visitors come here to feel the air when the aircraft takes off and lands on the runway. Maho Beach is located right next to Princess Juliana International Airport, and it is a great spot to see an aircraft’s final approach. Enjoy on a lounger and wait for the right time to capture a picture of the approaching plane and feel their jet blasts. For many beach lovers, Maho Bay is a must-see experience.

Fort Louis

Fort Louis is a historical architecture built by the French in 1789. Fort Louis was built to defend the area from the British and Dutch pirates. Overlooking a hill at the port of Marigot, the fort offers historic fortifications and excellent sights of the isle. Here you will get fantastic views, but first, you have to climb the fort, which usually lasts 20-30 minutes. At the top, you can see 360-degree views of Simpson Bay, Nettle Bay, and then Anguilla in the distance. Fort ruins explain a bit of the history. Even though the French still control this part of St. Marti, the fort has long been abandoned.

Loterie Farm

Loterie farm sits on the French side of the island quite far from a bustling barnyard, and as you get closer, you will be surprised to see a serene nature sanctuary with over 100 acres of lush foliage. Travelers make their way to spend their leisure time close to mother nature by hiking or taking a zip line through the treetops and farmland. Loterie Farm is an exquisite private farm for those who prefer an adrenaline rush. However, you will find swanky beach clubs accompanied by luxury loungers, day beds, and cabanas. The farm impresses every visitor with quality food and world-class amenities.
