During their stay at Negril Beaches, we want everyone to get a taste of what it’s like to be a local. You’ll be a Jamaica-phile in no time, thanks to real cuisine in the on-site restaurant and continuous reggae music playing throughout the day. To get you started, here are some facts about Negril, Jamaica. Photo by Rock Staar on Unsplash Barney’s Flower & Hummingbird Garden Jamaica Photo by James Wainscoat on Unsplash Barney’s Flower & Hummingbird Garden is a little treasure trove of birdlife tucked away in tropical vegetation, just a five-minute drive from Rick’s Cafe. In this quarter-acre garden, hummingbirds hover over hibiscus, bougainvillea, ginger, and other tropical plants. You will be given a bottle of sugar water to feed these winged beauties when you arrive, allowing you to have up-close interactions and wonderful photo possibilities. Other small animals such as butterflies, bees, and lizards frequent the garden, and if you’re lucky, you might even see the doctor bird, also known as the swallow-tailed hummingbird, which is Jamaica’s national bird. Turquoise water Photo by CK Yeo on Unsplash Negril’s beach gradually gives way to the Caribbean Sea, which is the perfect shade of blue when they meet. The color of paradise runs the length of the beach and out a few hundred feet to view the water. The brilliant sun rays bounce off the light-colored sand, turning the sea turquoise for as far as the eye can see. Cliffs and cliff jumping Photo by Austin Neill on Unsplash On the west end of town, where the beaches end, there are huge, stony cliffs that soar 30-50 feet over the blue ocean in some locations. There are many places where the adventurous can jump into the warm Caribbean ocean, but Rick’s Cafe is the most well-known. Rick’s, which is located on a high cliff in the “West End” of town, is an excellent site to spend an afternoon watching people cliff jump. Reggae music Photo by Abigail Lynn on Unsplash The rhythms of life in Negril are Bob Marley’s voice and laid-back reggae sounds. It’s impossible to walk too far along the beach without hearing it. Negril’s beach and adjacent resorts frequently feature live concerts by well-known reggae singers. caribbeanjamaicanNegril 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Jirie Caribbean previous post Tourist attractions in Negril next post Exploring Catamaran Cruise & Negril Beach Guyana’s Transformation: Caribbean’s Fastest-Growing Economy Revolutionizes March 31, 2024 Trinidad and Tobago Mega Projects in 2024 March 31, 2024 Rastafarianism – A Spiritual Movement Rooted in Unity...
