Begin your Grenada day with a walking tour of the lovely capital, with outstanding lookout views, followed by a behind-the-scenes peek at the island’s chocolate producers at the action. Grenada was a French colony until it was conquered by the British in the 1700s, and its capital was renamed St. George’s after the English patron saint. Once you’ve seen it, you’ll understand why this lovely town built around a horseshoe-shaped bay is frequently referred to as one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. If you don’t mind a few steep hills, walking about Grenada is a great way to start your day. As you stroll, you will be able to see some of the damage caused by Hurricane Ivan in 2004, though much reconstruction work has been done since then, restoring some of the town’s gems to their former glory. Grenada, located in the far south of the Caribbean, gives a fascinating flavor of the Old Caribbean. The island’s lush volcanic soil produces fragrant nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, and cocoa, earning it the nickname “the Spice Island,” and the island’s rich culture makes it a favorite choice for travelers searching for an authentic Caribbean experience. caribbeanGrenadaSt Gorge 2 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail Jirie Caribbean previous post Tourist attractions in Grenada next post Tourist Attractions in Saint Lucia Guyana’s Transformation: Caribbean’s Fastest-Growing Economy Revolutionizes March 31, 2024 Trinidad and Tobago Mega Projects in 2024 March 31, 2024 Rastafarianism – A Spiritual Movement Rooted in Unity...
